Have you updated your Twitter layout?new twitter layout

As you know, social media changes constantly!   It is hard to stay on top of all the changes.

I don’t use Twitter often but was surprised during my last visit to my profile!  They have a new layout! (You can tell that they have been influenced by the other social media platforms!)

You want to make sure that you optimize your images for the various social media platforms.  Take a look at the graphic below, courtesy of

When you chose to replace and image, you are taken to the option of uploading files or going to your media library.

In this case I selected a larger image.

As you can see, this is way too large, so I will edit the image.

I now can choose from 3 sizes:

This is more advanced. I do use the checkbox when I want the image to open in a new window or tab. This is a very handy feature. Use the others if you know CSS.

Unfortunately WordPress has removed one of my favorite editor – the padding. This was an extremely useful feature which was removed in 3.9. One workaround is to use this plugin: “Advanced Image Styles”

I created a PDF tutorial which you can download below.  Let me know if you have any questions.
